Vampire Records is a label created by Phil Aslett formerly of Source Direct. The label has been set up to release Drum and Bass music of all styles and will feature many different artists. The concept behind Vampire Records is the relation between the nocturnal behavior of Clubbers and Vampires. Vampire has constant evolution and is a platform for established artists and up and coming talent. The birth of the label was at the end of 2006. It has grown from strength to strength over the last couple of years. Vampire is still growing to this day but it has staying power in the world of Drum and Bass. It is up to its 10th single release and on April 1st 2009 it released its first label album “Once Bitten Twice High”. All releases on the label are still selling which proves that the music has shelf life and is non-disposable. It was very important to Phil Source at the birth of the label that it would have credibility with the old school, as well as the new breed of Drum and Bass fan. The Album “Drumz of the Damned” is the perfect follow up to “Once Bitten Twice High”. It continues the deep journey into the world of Vampire Records.
